Course Description:
"Exploring Interventions For Kids and Families Dealing with Divorce in the Play Therapy Process” is designed for play therapists and mental health professionals working with children and families navigating the complexities of divorce. Through an interactive and experiential approach, participants will explore effective interventions that can be integrated into the play therapy process to support children and their families during this challenging time.
Course Objectives:
Objective 1 - Demonstrate through interactive learning 1 intervention related to how to set boundaries with parents during play therapy sessions.
Objective 2 - Apply 1 intervention to repair with the client if parents violate the boundaries of a play therapy session.
Objective 3 - Discuss and plan for 3 interventions during play therapy sessions in the working phase of treatment.

Play Therapy Toolbox is an Approved Provider with the Association for Play Therapy. (APT Approved Provider #18-533).
Play therapy credit available to mental health professionals only as listed in each course description. Courses that do not qualify for play therapy credit are clearly listed.

Susan Stutzman, LCPC, RPT-S, is the founder and owner of Kid Matters Counseling in Hinsdale, IL. Susan is the co-owner of Play Therapy Toolbox, a digital resource to help support, train, and equip the next generation of play therapists and play therapy supervisors. She is the past president of the Illinois Association for Play Therapy, a mother of 4 children, and lives in Hinsdale with her husband of 21 years.
